staring at the moon, and climbing trees

From the brown fence that borders the lawn, and the ash trees surrounding my house

I am from eating turkey on Thanksgiving and a great sense of humor

From Rachel and Nate, and Gavin

I am from connect sports and going for long walks down our road

From “Clean your room” and “Feed the dogs and cats”

I am from Park-View, and Maine, from boiled shrimp, and chopped steak

From the family pictures packed in boxes in the attic

Best Friends Forever

Haliegh used to be my best friend forever. I used to go to her house all the time but we had a fight. That changed everything. I met Haliegh at one of her horse shows. Now Haliegh is my arch enemy. But I have a new friend. Her name is Maddie and Maddie is the best friend I ever had. Maddie has a little sister named Abby, Maddie says Abby is a pain in the butt. I'm kind of glad that I don't have a little sister. Maddie has three best friends. They’re Bella D., Emma S., and Riliegh B. Maddie is a little crazy sometimes. Maddie, well Maddie is on and off with friends.

A Person who Matters to Me by Elijah

A Person Who Matters to Me

Sam is my best friend. I’ve known Sam since kindergarten. I used to live next door to him and we would wrestle all the time. Now when we get together we play Star Wars. Sam is really good at playing Star Wars, he knows a lot about Star Wars and he owns every single Star Wars action figure.

We also like to ride bikes around the apartment complex, which makes a figure eight. Sometimes we eat dinner together. This year Sam is in my third grade class. At school we run around the playground and eat lunch together.During recess we play ghost hunting and Call of Duty. We run around and pretend that we are fighting a war. When we play ghost hunting, me and Sam hunt for ghost because we think they are real. We usually run up to the hill and feel the rocks, we pretend they are the ghost graves. At school Sam is a really good reading. He likes to read the A-Z mysteries. I think Sam is my best friend.
